More Americans than forecast filed claims for jobless benefits last week, a sign the pace of improvement in the labor market is slowing. U.S. producer prices were unexpectedly flat in March as a drop in gasoline costs offset rising food prices, according to a government report on Thursday that also showed moderate underlying inflation pressures. The Obama administration's consumer financial watchdog agency is proposing to relax a cap on credit card fees.
