Consumer Comfort Index Moves Up For 2nd Straight Week
The consumer comfort index moved up for a second week, to 40.9 in the
December 13 week from 40.1 and a noticeably low 39.6 in the prior two
weeks. Consumer confidence readings took a hit in late November from the
Paris attacks but have since been rebounding which is good news for
retailers this holiday season.
