Same-Store Retail Sales Very Strong

September ended and October opened with what continues to be very strong same-store sales growth among Redbook's sample, at a year-on-year 5.7 percent in the October 5 week. Redbook's results are pointing to a solid September retail sales report (data to be posted next week) and are hinting at extended momentum for October.
