Weak Same Store Retail Sales Continue

Redbook's continues to report weak same-store sales growth, at only 1.1 percent in the October 10 week which is, however, better than the unusually weak plus 0.7 percent in the prior week. Redbook reports better selling of seasonal apparel and notes that Halloween this year falls on a Saturday which should boost related sales. Retail sales for September are the highlight of tomorrow's calendar.
