Same Store Retail Sales Improve, Remain Soft

Redbook's same-store sales tally remains soft but did improve from the prior week, up 2 tenths to a year-on-year plus 1.3 percent. The report cites generally cool weather as a plus in the week for seasonal sales. The report also notes that retailers are upbeat heading into Halloween.
