Consumer Comfort Index Up For Second Straight Week
Uncertainty over the economic impact of market turbulence is nearly as
strong as the turbulence itself. Last week's consumer sentiment index
showed cracks that could be tied to the turbulence, but not the consumer
comfort index which is up for a second straight week with a 6 tenths
gain to 42.0 following a 4 tenths gain in the prior week.
