Retail Sales See Small Increase In Sales

Back-to-school tax holidays in 13 states helped give store sales a lift based on Redbook's same-store sales tally which rose 2 tents in the latest week to a year-on-year rate of plus 1.9 percent. The rate is definitely on the soft side but compares will with July as Redbook is calling for a 0.5 percent gain in August.
