Chicago PMI drops sharply in July
Chicago PMI dropped sharply in July to its lowest level in over a year, according to the Chicago business barometer released Thursday. The index fell to 52.6 in July from 62.6 in June, below the MarketWatch-compiled consensus of 63.5. It is the sharpest one month drop in the Chicago PMI since the start of the financial crisis in October 2008.
