U.S. trade deficit narrows in March as exports rebound

The U.S. trade deficit narrowed in March as exports rebounded, but the improvement was probably not enough to help first-quarter growth.

The Commerce Department said on Tuesday the trade gap fell 3.6 percent to $40.4 billion. February's deficit was revised to $41.9 billion from a previously reported $42.3 billion.
