State tax bills can add up pretty fast for small business owners. Well, that is, unless your business is located in South Dakota, Texas or Nevada. ‪On average, big businesses – those with 1,000 or more employees – paid their bills more than a week past the due date on invoices, according to a report that's expected to be released by Experian next week. The economy, and in particular small business, has taken center stage in the Presidential campaigns this week. Mitt Romney and President Obama both took the opportunity to emphasize how bad the other is for the growth of US businesses. U.S. consumer credit shot up during March at the fastest rate since late 2001 as credit-card use, and student and car loans ballooned, data from the Federal Reserve showed on Monday.
