Small business revenues are gradually recovering from recessionary depths, but are just now reaching levels seen before the recession began in 2007, according to the first-of-its kind Small Business Revenue Index from Intuit Inc. U.S. banks saw increased demand for lending in the first quarter and made loans easier to get, according to a Federal Reserve survey. Small business lending could take a major hit if a federal program that insures small business accounts ends later this year. Small business lending slipped 3% in March, according to a survey released today.
