U.S. consumer sentiment rose to its highest in more than four years in early May as Americans remained upbeat about the job market, a survey released on Friday showed. People in the U.S. have grown increasingly pessimistic about the economy in recent months, and President Obama’s handling of certain parts of it, according to a new poll. The sluggish implementation of the Dodd-Frank financial reform law has made it “impossible” for businesses to “know the rules of the road,” charges the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in a new scorecard obtained first by The Hill. President Obama zipped through Nevada on Friday making his case for Congress to pass a batch of economy-boosting policies, including legislation to help the slowly healing housing market.
