Same-Store Retail Sales Growth Remains Strong

Same-store sales growth remains strong but has come back slightly the past two weeks, at year-on-year growth of 5.2 percent in the September 21 week and 5.4 percent in the prior week. These compare with 6 percent plus readings in early September and late August. For September as a whole, Redbook is still pointing to strength and to another favorable retail sales report.
