Same-Store Retail Sales Accelerate

Redbook's same-store sales index accelerated back toward the upper end of its very strong range, at 5.5 percent growth in the June 29 week vs 5.0 percent in the prior week. Still, June's pace overall was slightly under May that saw peaks near 6 percent. Redbook's results hint at slowing but otherwise very healthy growth for June's retail sales report from the government.
