Same Store Retail Sales Pick Up Pace

Retail sales picked back up to their May pace in the June 15 week, at very strong same-store sales growth of 5.4 percent for Redbook's sample and up from 5.0 percent in the prior week. Retail sales in May proved solid as indicated by Redbook whose same-store index was posting mid-5 percent growth during the month.
