Online Shopping Pace Picks Up Slightly
The pace of online shopping picked up slightly in the second quarter but
against a downward revised first quarter. E-commerce sales rose a
quarterly 3.9 percent in the second quarter vs 3.6 percent in the first
(initially 3.9 percent). As a percentage of total retail sales,
second-quarter e-commerce rose 2 tenths to 9.6 percent.
