Consumer Comfort Index Slips Only Slightly

Last week's 3.2 percent decline for the Dow didn't make much dent in the consumer comfort index for the February 4th week which slipped only 2 tenths to 54.4 and is just off long-term highs. The latest week, of course, excludes Monday's 4.6 percent drop followed by the subsequent recovery.
