Consumer Comfort Reading Slips

The weekly Bloomberg consumer comfort reading slipped from last week's 51.7 to 51.5. This index peaked in late August at a reading of 53.3. Current views of the economy edged up to 51.9 from 51.8 the week before. Personal finances index declined to 59.3 from a five month high of 60.6. The index of buying climate though increased to 43.3 from 42.6.
