Business Inflation Expectations Soft

Inflation expectations have been mixed to soft and the Atlanta Fed's September sample of expected business costs is among the softest, down 2 tenths this month to 1.7 percent vs 1.9 percent in September. This reading has trended narrowly near 1.8 percent the past two years and is showing no lift despite the ongoing rise in energy prices.
