Consumer Comfort Index Bounces Back
The consumer comfort index bounced sharply back from two weeks of
weakness, up 9 tenths to 42.6 in the May 15 week. Still, the index is
running about 1/2 point lower over the last month which is not a
positive indication for the consumer spending and employment outlooks.
