Consumer Confidence Accelerates
Consumer confidence has accelerated strongly heading into the final days
of the holiday shopping season. Yesterday the consumer sentiment report
showed some of the strongest trends in six months while today's
consumer comfort index shows a sharp 1.3 point rise to 42.2 in one of
the strongest readings in six months.
