Consumer Comfort Index Falls Again
The consumer comfort index fell for the fourth time in five weeks, down 3
tenths in the November 22 week to 40.9. This reading is important as it
includes the immediate impact of the Paris attacks. Readings on
consumer confidence, despite building strength in income, peaked at mid
year and have since moderated but they do remain solid. The consumer
sentiment report, to be released at 10:00 a.m. ET and which is expected
to remain steady, will be very closely watched.
