Atlanta Fed Business Inflation Expectations Edge Higher

Inflation expectations at the business level have edged 1 tenth higher this month to a still modest 2.0 percent. This reading has been at 1.9 or 2.0 percent all year and won't be standing in the way of further rate cuts by the Federal Reserve which is looking to keep inflation expectations steady to higher. In a special question, 40 percent of the sample reported passing tariff-related cost increases to their customers versus 48 percent who said they have not.
