Planned Job Cuts Near The Lowest Of The Recovery

Jobless claims are very low as have been layoff announcements, at only 32,188 in August and among the lowest readings of the recovery. Computer jobs are at the top of August's layoff list followed by industrial goods and entertainment & leisure. Automotive, retail and construction had only a handful of layoff announcements. Today's results are another indication of health in the labor market ahead of tomorrow's employment report for August.
